Finally there’s a challenge I’m excited for. #NoMakeUpMarch The timing is perfect. Recently I was asked out on a date by someone I’ve known for quite awhile. He was always a really nice guy to me. Even made it past my “dealbreakers” stage. At this point I was impressed, even when he asked me out on a PROPER date it was comparable to the most sweetest marriage proposal you could dream of. With that familiar feeling of butterflies 🦋 in my stomach, I accepted. About 20 minutes later, shit went sideways. My phone 📱 started going off with rapid notifications one after the other. I pick my phone up to check out where’s the fire 🔥 and the following were the messages I received: “For our date... Wear the sexiest tightest short dress that you can wear... With a thong... Push up bra... Make up... Shave your pussy... wants to show off his big beautiful woman... So be PRESENTABLE to the world... Okay baby?” My heart sank, I was... I don’t even know what I was initially because for a brief moment I considered accommodating his requests 😔. I left out the more vulgar parts and kept the less vulgar ones from his messages but yes, these are direct quotes. What got me first was the presentable part... I responded with “I don’t really wear makeup 💄 and definitely not going to start now when a man tells me too. It’s winter outside, I dress accordingly to the the weather. If I’m not presentable enough as I am then let’s cancel the date.” He got upset 😡 had a tantrum, used foul language, he got ugly - I had to block and delete him. See it’s taken me almost... let’s just say a long time 😝 for me to finally love the skin I’m in. I’m more than enough. #SelfLove is already a difficulty for someone like me and I’m learning everyday that I’m not alone with this.
