I grew up in a small town so I never was one of those kids who have been going to the mall for most of their lives. Actually the town I grew up in had basically no clothing stores so I think 99% of my clothes came from thrift and consignment stores. Well anyways the mall always overwhelms me. From the flocks of teenagers trying to look cool to the stores pumping chemical laden perfumes into the air so thick that I almost gag (I'm looking at you Abercrombie). The closest one to us is about an hour away and I thought it would be a great idea to get my eyebrows waxed there. They usually do a great job but to make a long story short I had to wait over an hour and the girl did the worst job I've ever had from there. So no more brow bar for me. Well the whole time we were waiting we decided to walk around and check out some stores to kill time. Poor Nash was not liking it at all. Actually he was fascinated by the escalator, but everything else was just too much for him. I carried him in the Moby Go which is my preferred way when going into stores, the weird thing is I only saw one mom wearing their baby. Maybe it's not as common in the city as compared to the smaller more hippyish towns. Anyways, just being at the mall with all the bright lights, blaring dub step, perfumes, and people was just more then all three of us can really handle. He didn't cry but he was getting really squirmy and didn't look too happy. So yea we have no reason to go there again and good riddance! I'll stick to buying stuff online, thrift stores, and little local shops. On the plus side we scored a nice all wood high chair from the Hospice thrift store, so I can try and get serious about this baby solid food feeding business. :) Everyone have a beautiful day!
