Nomasonto - Sunday’s Best is a fictional story that follows a character named ‘Nomasonto’ (can be directly translated to ‘daughter of Sunday’) who is a young Lady from the Eastern Townships of Johannesburg. Nomasonto is very passionate about design and her love for fashion is rooted. Her love for this art stems from the unofficial South African township practice of donning the best threads on a Sunday. The concept of wearing your best fashion pieces on a Sunday is a very old practice in her family, her father (Mr. Mkhize) was well known for his immaculate taste in fashion. This became dear to Nomasonto, she made it her mission to carry on this tradition.
