There’s Only This Mammon (Angst)
Let’s start off to give my blog life with an angst! Enjoy, people of the fandom:) This is my first post so uhh-- pardon any mistakes (particularly at grammar and spelling lol) {}{}{}{}{}{}{} It’s been the same boring day for the Avatar of Greed. Hearing his brother’s insults; letting them enter his one ear and letting it out in the other. Getting ‘punished’ by his older brother and doing the same routine over and over again. Live. Mammon closed his door softly, walking towards his bed and threw himself on it. His back collided with the soft mattress, closing his eyes and heaving a sigh of relief. At least he made it in his room without hearing Lucifer call his name because it’ll only mean one thing, trouble. The second born layed there for hours, same blue eyes staring at the ceiling. The peace broke when constant banging on the door was heard and a shouting voice of a particular person, Leviathan. Mammon groaned before getting up and opened the door only to be greeted by a fuming Avatar of Envy. “Levi? What d–”His words were cutted off when Leviathan pushed him as hard as he could, making him almost fly across the room. “You..! You stole my newly arrived delivery from Akuzon didn’t you?!” the Avatar of Envy exclaimed, fist clenching and looking like holding himself from punching his brother. “I don’t care about the other things you stole from me but that merch.. I SAVED MONEY FOR THAT! I SAVED MONEY SO THAT I DON’T HAVE TO RELY ON THE MONEY LUCIFER WILL GIVE ME! THAT’S THE VERY FIRST THING I BOUGHT WITH MY SALARY FROM HELL'S KITCHEN.. That merch is the very first thing I bought with MY money.. AND YET YOU STOLE IT LIKE THAT!” Tears started to fall from the third born eyes. “It was important to me since I sacrificed my energy, blood and sweat working my ass off at the restaurant just to buy it..” Leviathan said, voice barely above whisper. Mammon looked at his brother, “I didn’t steal it. I’m not even aware that you have a package from Akuzon” “NO OF COURSE YOU KNOW! No one will steal it except YOU!” The ruckus reached the brothers inside the house, showing up on the door behind Leviathan to look at the scene. Mammon barely gave them attention as he stood up and dusted off his shoulders. “What’s happening?” Lucifer asked. “Why are you fighting Mammon, Leviathan?” “Like most, Mammon probably stole something from Levi~” Asmodeus chirped in while frowning, looking at Mammon. Mammon looked at his brothers who were standing in their glory on his door. Maybe if they are not giving him a mocking and disappointing gaze, he would have been scared. He returned the look by meeting Leviathan’s gaze, blue eyes coolly stared at the latter’s orange ones but there was something on it. Mammon’s eyes were like telling him how angry yet disappointed he was at him. Leviathan shook off the shiver he felt and continued to ramble and accuse his older brother in which occasionally his younger brother’s would give their own comment. That was until Leviathan pushed the ticking bomb the brother was holding in. “How I wish I never looked up and loved you , you scumbag” Mammon’s fist clenched. Wow, it hurts so bad. “I wish you’re not my older brother!” The hall became eerily silent, Leviathan processed what he just said. Did.. Did he just tell his brother that he wishes he’s not his brother? His four younger brother’s were silent, as well as the eldest. “Yeah..” Leviathan’s eyes snapped at Mammon who was smiling sadly at him. He heard something crack inside him. He felt a wave of guiltiness and sadness run through his system and he’s sure as hell, his brothers felt it too. “I did also wish that you weren’t my brother, Levi..” In a blink of an eye, Mammon who was across the room was standing in front of him, gently patting his shoulders. “I also wished that I wouldn't feel this.. I love you because you’re my brother.. But for once, I agree with you Leviathan..” Leviathan was slowly pushed out to the corridors, Mammon standing before him. The white haired man held the knob tightly, “I agree that I shouldn’t have loved any of you..” Lucifer stood in silence, Beelzebub barely processing anything. Satan who always has a say on things was out of words. Belphegor gripped on his pillow tightly fighting the urge to let the building tears on the side of his eyes fall. Asmodeus stared in shock, nails digging in his fisted hand but Leviathan.. Leviathan started breaking down, heavy tears following. “I– I’m sorry I didn’t mean what I sai–” The door was shutted in front of them and only left to stare at the second oldest’s door. Lucifer held Leviathan’s shoulder and tried to comfort his younger brother. “Everything will be fine..” Satan whispered. “It’s Mammon.. He can never hate us even just for a day” “But don’t you think we took it for granted..?” Beelzebub mumbled. “Even though Mammon doesn’t get angry at us, this one is different. It sounds like he’s disowning us as his brother… and his family” The hall was eerily silent once again as Leviathan only cried harder. “ I– I’m so sorry I was just mad.. I’m sorry.. “ Lucifer sighed before excusing himself and Leviathan from his younger brothers. Lucifer assisted the crying Leviathan to his room and the others returned to their own rooms, trying to shake off the feeling that something will change the next time they see Mammon again. They thought that the second oldest needed time to think and that the next day, the scummy brother would come downstairs with his usual smile and greetings. That the next day at breakfast, they would talk casually and annoy Lucifer non stop. That the next day, House of Lamentation would still be the same old chaotic house. But that didn’t happen. The starter and leader of chaos was nowhere. The scumbag, noisy second born wasn’t there. There was only this demon who has the same face and appearance of their brother but far from the Mammon they know. There’s only this demon who holds the form of their older brother who was eating professionally who didn’t bother to try and ease the gloomy atmosphere. There’s no Mammon who would try to make everyone smile. There’s no Mammon who would cause ruckus. There’s only this Mammon who doesn’t mind the quiet house. There’s only this Mammon who acts the opposite of the Mammon they know and they loved.
