I would like to thank Krista for all her love and support in this difficult time... And pray to god and jesus too that she doesn't catch the next flight to LA and strangle me in my sleep.

Favorite Dinosaur? Fossil? whatever…
Trilobites! Because they were one of the most abundant species to ever exist but finding a whole one is super rare =0 (Also it’s the first one that comes to mind lol)
Do you think about murdering someone with science?
If you mean by talking their ear off about cool stuff I’ve learned, then yes :3
What is your favorite scientific theory?
Hmm. General relativity maybe. Gravity is cool. But then again, one of the coolest theories I’ve ever heard was about the dinosaurs dying b/c the atmosphere was set on fire. Also, everything about the Permian extinction is really cool.
What’s your favorite micro organism?
Are prions organisms? Prion diseases are strangely cool. When I was 20 I read something about kuru and it launched this fascination and so I did a biology project on it and got 100% b/c aw yeah.

It’s okay to admit when you don’t know something or it doesn’t make sense. Science rarely makes sense. The more you learn, the more you realize you don’t know. And that’s okay.
So true! Science is supposed to make you feel dumb; that’s how you know you’re doing it right.
I’m tabling for Primates Awareness Week and I just spent 30 mins trying to find my Gorilla Doctors shirt

15. Ever tasted an experiment?
I hope not.
32. Why are biology majors so….you know..
Wouldn’t know, I wasn’t a bio major...I didn’t hang out with those kinds of people...
34. Do you like being supervised?
At the start of a new lab I tend to be nervous and have low confidence, so knowing a supervisor is close by to answer questions is very helpful. However, once I get the hang of it I don’t like lots of hovering.
62. What would you do a TED talk on?
Probably syphilis.
67. Thoughts on spectral analysis?
Sure, why not?
68. Any interesting stories from the lab?
Oh gosh. At the Field Museum there was always some weird bug caught in the glue trap, or my supervisor saying something hilarious, or the 3D printer doing something weird.
