Even in the middle of trouble too. Just how Ventus found himself. Standing in a rather important looking room. With a lot of archives. Scrolls... and whatever parchment is around on the stone shelves. And a lot of shiny.  S H A R P  . Blades all pointing at his neck, by several guards, and a scary looking man with brown hair under the weird looking hat, and blue eyes that... didn’t exactly scream happy to see him. “Uh... H-hi...?” Only to let out  along sigh, already he’s treated like a criminal. It was no different when those little men called him a thief. Oh well, time to see what kind of mess he’d gotten into.

                  That’s how he ends up in the audience with a King.

That is Ancient Rome.. so is this another Ancient city? Plus... everyone was so dark skinned, he looked pale. So pale like he’d never seen the sun before.... granted his over decade of sleep he didn’t... still. “Um.....” trying to voice out, only to flinch at the harsh stares directing his way.

            “D-did... did I do something wrong... uh...your H-highness?”

Atem relished in the kiss, wanting to let it last but when they needed to breath, they had to part and there was a small pout on his lips. The Egyptian wanted to kiss Yami more since his trip was so long... But he did smile when the pale man kept his arms around him.

“The trip was nice...” He mused before leaning closer into Yami’s hold. He leaned more, nuzzling Yami’s neck. “I never expect to meet lots of fans during that convention so that was nice.”

He then pulled back and pressed another kiss to Yami’s lips before grinning. “But I mostly missed you. Our chats over the phone wasn’t enough, you know?”

Atem’s eyes closed and, for once, a soft smile had graced his lips. He didn’t know what prompt him to Yami, maybe it was just nerves? Or maybe he just wanted to hear his voice...

He wasn’t sure, but all that matter was the he also wished that they was here with as well. That enough to make his heart feel warm and send a wonderful feeling throughout his body. What was this...? This nice feeling...

He opened his eyes, hearing that they were about to announce the Duelists and as much as he didn’t want to end the call, he knew he had to go.

“All right then. I hope you’re watching. I’m going to do you proud.”

Despite the vampire King was trying so hard not to flinch... He lowered his gaze as Yami had tend to his wounds. Earlier, they had been... Attacked, by some rouge incubi who didn’t agree to the alliance of vampires and incubi.

And while Atem was able to fight them off in order to protect Yami, knowing full well his beloved could defense him, he still received quite a nasty wound.

It was enough to give his healing factor some time to tend so Yami had to come in and help clean and stitch it up. Yet his words...

He looked up at Yami, seeing the distress in his eyes and he felt guilt in his heart. He reached up and gently touched his cheek, having him look directly into his eyes.

“You know I would do anything to protect you, Yami... And if something had happened to you... I...”

He couldn’t even begin to think would could happened to the Prince. In that moment, he had pulled Yami down and pressed his lips in a long yet meaningful kiss.

When they had parted, he leaned his forehead on his. “You mean everything to me, Yami... And if I am to die protecting you, then so be it.”
