Preach! I’ve had so many arguments about this with co-workers and other body mod industry folks. So long as people are safe & clean I don’t see the problem.
It's really refreshing to hear someone else in the industry agreeing with me on this. The body mod industry is nearly saturated with oppressive and even downright bigoted artists.
I'd go one step further and say that, provided someone knows the risks of getting an unsafe and unclean stick and poke, it is still their prerogative to take that risk as the owners of their own bodies. I'd never recommend unsafe and unclean practices, but it's also not my place to chastise or judge people for their informed decisions.
