It’s official!! Went into the doctor’s again today to see about getting my suprapubic catheter taken out, and it’s out!!!! 😍🙌🎉 We tried last Wednesday, but my numbers weren’t quite what they were looking for, so Dr. Ley just wanted to give it a little more time to bring my voiding numbers (mL urinating from my new urethra through my penis) and post voiding numbers (what was left in my bladder and released through unplugging the SP cath after voiding as much as possible) up before removing the catheter. Only took an extra 5 days, and now I’m freeeeeeee!!! 😍🙌 I even got to pee in a toilet standing up for the first time ever before they took it out!! That. Was. Magic. 💙😍🙌🎉✨ Now, I just get to keep peeing and healing, and my catheter hole will close in about 24 hours. 💪🏼I am sooooo grateful for all of this and to be already almost healed from stage 1! Just 2 more weeks, and I’ll be able to start easing into hiking and exercising a bit again. 🙌 Dr. Ley also wants me to send her photos in about a month to see about beginning a little stretching (via pump). And thennnnnnn.....my second procedure to create my scrotum is in just 2 months and 9 days on June 25th!!! Ahhhhhh!!!!! 20 days post op already, and Ronin and I will be heading back to San Diego tomorrow! See you soon SoCal!
