Hostility in the World

I’ve been thinking. About everything going on in the world. The hate is overcoming the love. It’s like we are at war with ourselves. Dividing our country. Yet, we all blame it on politics. It all comes down to someone but us. I will never discuss my political stance in the world. But I see people blaming our president. Blaming hate groups. Blaming law enforcement. Because we think it’s their fault. But the truth is, we can only control ourselves. That’s the only power we have, controlling ourselves. Not anyone else. No one can tell you that you have to do something you DON’T wanna do. We are responsible for ourselves! We are responsible for how we treat others. So much violence in today’s world. And guess what? Nothing is being solved. Nothing is being resurrected to fix the problem. We all can agree we carry a grudge because we were hurt. And instead of rationally talking about it, we argue and get defensive. We lash out in anger. Dividing us instead of being united. Hatred has condemned our world and it is up to us to fix it. Our founding fathers of the United States of America are most likely disappointed that we, as a nation have let our pride get in between what is right and what is wrong.

No More Hatred

I’m finally smiling at the fact that you’re happy..even if it is with her.. It’s so weird. Thinking I’d always be angry at you….but I think I’ve finally accepted it. Even though I still feel pain once in a while. I believe that the care I once held for you will still be held deep down inside my heart forever. And your smile will always make me smile, which to me, is the weirdest thing of all. No wonder people have asked me if I still love you….…

I feel like I’m at least at a 95. But that’s not to say I may stumble at some point and step down a few percentages. Although, it’s nothing The Lord my God can’t help me out of. He’s been faithful all along, with my entire healing journey. He will never leave and instills even more hope in me now that I am thankful for His work. His Son is the Prince of Peace and my entire salvation. He deserves all my heart and soul and thanks and trust. There is absolutely no denying that.

Even though I may resent her in the least, still, I’ve accepted it. And the whole fact that I smile at his happiness (at least the happiness he shows on the outside) despite the fact he did what he did, proves I’m even closer to being over it than I ever have been. It could be that I’ve already known the feeling that she is feeling towards him, that I am smiling, but regardless, I am much better than I used to be and for the most part, I’ve let them go. It could even be the hope now dwelling inside me that one day, I will be given a love so much greater than the one they might have and the one I once had, and just that, in and of itself, finds me an amazing joy.

This newness is still so weird to me…but it’s for the best, and it’s true… He may have done wrong, but I have no right to hold a grudge. For Jesus was dealt the ultimate betrayal and bore all the sin and pain that came after it. He endured all my hurt long before I even did, so how does it give me justification to stay angry at what the two if them did to me? Although, do I forgive them? I believe I may be very close to it.

I am so thankful I was able to hear this truth. All in God’s name and His son’s name, my heart was mended. I still have memories and emotions, both good and bad, but I am so much stronger now, and have so much less hatred. All the glory for this miracle goes to He who sets the captive free.
