The initial scare of the fight that Teu had not witnessed was still raw at his forefront; he had reviewed the footage from his security cameras all throughout his office, feeling that raw fear bubble in his gut every time he watched the beast take Nova down with supposed ease.
Even then, his info was short. He needed to know more; and he needed to see if the large man was doing okay today.
Holed up in the Higher Echelon ER overnight, the Warmaster pushes through the door to Nova’s temporary room, specially accommodated to fit both the giant and his metal appendages. Rath has a small boquet in one hand, the other gently closing the door behind him.
Walking over cautiously, he scans the man’s current crippled and bandaged form, his natural frown deepening with his sorrow. Not only was the sight depressing, but also terrifying.
“Nova?” He gently calls, leaving the boquet in a vase next to his bed (or... “setup”, as there was a lot of things wound about the man and in his skin).

The frown stuck on the large man’s face. Something was clearly bothering the Jennerit despite his words.
“Is there something that I can do to help?” Nova asked as he followed Rath, staying just a few paces behind him.
“Just...” Teu’s lip thins, scrunching his face to try and word this the best he could. “...lend an ear, that is all I ask.”
He looks over his shoulder at him, untangling his hands from behind his back to lay limp in defeat at his sides.
“As you know, my mate.. er.. does not tolerate your presence. He finds you a threat-- not to him, but to... us.” He seriously didn’t know how to word it, and his face was a tomato of pressure trying to formulate his sentences.

“The temperature is unforgiving. Hopefully your armour will accommodate to this planet,” the swordsman remarks, gaze unleaving the battlefield woven in thin snow in front of them. Curtains of snow blew to and fro, blinding at points and making the Keeper wish he had sleeves for his armour.
At least he thought to reinstall his visor for his helmet. The weather on Bliss would literally bite at his face, making him paler than he’d want for his Sustained visage. It simply wasn’t pleasant.
He had awaited the day where Ghalt would send Rathteu off with the new monster of a recruit; he was still a suit of mysteries, both literal and not. Still a hard shell to crack behind Nova’s robotic figure, for sure. Another thing that drove his excitement was curiosity. Of course, he was referring to how the giant man would fare in combat; he dared not test that himself. Something told him there was much more to behold than what he sees. A good pinata for this experiment would be, of course, the Varelsi.
“Coordinates point ahead,” he’d mutter through the amplified voice receptor within his helm. “Be on your guard.” Rath’s small footprints looked rather comedic to the large ones Nova produced.

-zephyr

“..I prefer tea,” Nova replied, hiding quite well that he had been startled by the other man walking up. He had only been aboard the ship for a few hours and had mostly kept to himself, hiding behind his armor. It was surprisingly easy to avoid people..probably because they were avoiding him as well. Not that he blamed them at all nor did he mind. He wasn’t the most social person.
So it was a surprise that the lanky swordsman approached him and with such a personal question at that.
“Splendid. Thank you,” he’d say without skipping a beat, seemingly not gazing up at the taller gentleman at all and, rather, down at his HOLOpad device. After a few button presses here and there, he pivots on his heel, quickly leaving the room after supposedly asking a few more people around the area.
The swordsman was busy collecting orders for everyone-- he found himself free of tasks to do and wanted to aid the crew after a long expedition.
Minutes later, the Keeper slips back into the room, casually striding on over to the giant with a tray in hand. It looked like there were many more cups on it than there was now-- just one, filled with green tea-- and Nova was Rathteu’s last stop.
“It should still be warm.” He offers the tray to him. For once, the Jennerit actually looks up at the... much bigger man for once, staring deeply in curiosity into the lifeless, black visor on his helmet.
More fresh blood, he’d note silently.
