Ruby: I just thought about you and I'm sorry but I have more crafting ideas. Ruby: I'm helping a friend update her room for a nursey and there's a place in LA that keeps all of the unused and scrap materials from film productions and you can take whatever you want from the building as long as you pay a 30 dollar donation fee Ruby: Interested in taking a mini road trip with me? @robbie-becker

"damn it."
the french was soft yet clearly indicated her frustration as isla continued to dig through her bag, her motions only a tad frantic. quickly, she turned her heel and burst back through the doors of the building she had just exited.
"excuse me-" she began, grabbing the attention of the first person she noticed. "-hate to bother but you wouldn't have happened to see a stray set of keys around here? rose gold key fob? a few little trinkets dangling off it?"
early morning nov. 4 / grace, atlas, caliphe, & the berry family.
Atlas had helped bring Astrid to recovery, after spending hours in surgery with Lena. As the resident, it was usually his job to update the families. He met Grace in the stairwell who looked like she was just coming out of surgery with Silas. "Hey, Astrid's headed to recovery, she got lucky, how's Silas?"
Grace was exhausted, after hours in surgery, she was told to leave as they closed to go update the Berry family. "They're closing what they can now and sending him to the ICU. He's going to need another surgery for a skin graft and then one for his leg. His body just needs time." They rode the elevator down. "Not ready for this," she said as she stepped into the waiting room. "Berry family?" she asked, walking up to them to get their attention.

closed starter for @reggiellewellyn at oasis
The reason that Esther doesn't feel any surprise when her gaze lands on Reggie across the dance floor at Oasis, a little over a month after she'd come back home and gone into high alert (although she'd tried to psych herself out of it), is because it was going to happen eventually, and if it was going to happen anywhere, it was going to be a club, and this is the first time she's gone to Oasis since she's been back.
(She's not sure if Bo will still be annoyed with her for running scams on people at the bar a few times, so she's sort of been avoiding it.)
And she's also not surprised by the feeling of bitter, helpless, dreaded longing, but she still absolutely despises it, and finds it completely wretched and pathetic. For a few seconds it's easy to see him as she'd first seen him a million years ago, under the club lights, tall and scary and exciting. She goes to him not because she wants to but because she can't stop herself, an emotion she's not unfamiliar with but hasn't experienced since leaving for New York two years ago.
"Wow," she says, with a half-baked smile, like it's supposed to be a greeting, "I didn't realize you'd still be lumbering around town unaccompanied by a keeper."
"How--are you?"
zoe: heyyy Sam! I met you back in October during the harvest fest zoe: holidays got crazy & I totally lost track of time but things are more chill & I was wondering abt getting involved in the garden thing now zoe: I figure it's nearly spring so prob a good time too! @samucl-kane

The mid-morning sunlight streaming onto Tabitha's face and she breathed a lazy exhale. She'd slipped back and forth into consciousness a few times since the sun rose, and each time she found herself closer and closer to the warm body beside her. His arm was draped casually over her waist as he slept, Tabitha's eyes slowly focused on the interior of her bedroom. A soft vibration from her phone pulled her fully into the present, she reached over to check it, careful not to wake Keo sleeping beside her.
An unread text from Lucky greeted her sleep riddled eyes. ‘Hey, I know it’s my day but is it alright if I drop her back to you early? Like next hour early. I mixed up the dates for a second interview I thought was tomorrow and is actually today and I’m mildly frazzled 😅 no worries if you’re busy, I can try re-arrange' it read. She quickly gave it a thumbs up in response, because what else could she say?
"Fuck," Tabitha sat up straight in bed, her adrenaline at an immediate high. Her eyes passed over Keo's half-asleep and half-naked body and a wave of panic overcame her. What was she going to do? No one knew about.. whatever this was. It didn't have a label. It was too soon and too complicated to have one.
Maybe Lucky knowing what was going on between her and Keo wasn't the worst thing, but it would be a cold day in hell before she'd let Theo find out. Tabitha knew all too well what it felt like to get too attached to a pseudo-boyfriend of your mom. It was confusing and a breeding ground for heartbreak and resentment. The thought brought out the worst in her.
"Keo," she said in a harsh whisper at first but soon losing whatever patience she had left before whacking his arm to wake him up. "Keo, get up!" Grabbing the nearest item of clothing, an oversized t-shirt that he had peeled off her the night before, Tabitha pulled it over her shoulders in a frenzy.
"You gotta go," she told him as she hurried to get dressed, making a mental note of all the evidence she'd need to dispose of before the unexpected arrival. "Lucky is bringing Theo back early and you can't be here when he does."

Sliding her coffee across the small table, Julian braced himself for Tilly's review of his new manager. "So," the vowel drags out longer than it should. "How did it go?"
