Small update-
This is the current DNI image we use
We've been meaning to clarify and edit some things, so here:
Anyone can use our terms
People who view/use the terms AGERE and PETRE to refer to kink, DNI
In general, if you're anti-kink, against kink at pride, against/exclusionary towards sex workers, sex-negative, etc., DNI
Endo-neutral, endo-nuanced, anti-syscourse, or singlets choosing to not engage in syscourse (smart choice), you're allowed to interact (if you're leaning more anti-endo, IWEC)
"MAPs/Zoos DNI" is for our own safety, comfort, and mental health (and also because using "MAP" instead of calling it a paraphilia is a red flag). We are strictly pro-recovery, anti-contact, anti-harassment, and anti-ableism. We are not anti-para. Anti-paras, DNI.
We understand that pro-ship and com-ship can have different definitions to different people. Just so we're clear, we are not against shipping, complicated ships (unless they're dark-ships), ships that are slightly controversial/problematic, etc., nor are we against making or consuming media including com-ship (or even dark-ship, if it's for a character study and it's not romanticized). Fiction affects reality, but also, media literacy is a thing.
Recovering rad-queers are welcome
We don't have trans-IDs/trans-X listed on here because we understand that not all of those terms are harmful. We support transspecies and other good-faith/non-harmful terms. We also support the usage of the term chronasian as an alternative to transage.
We will not tolerate hate towards any disorder. We just mentioned cluster-B hate specifically because that's something we see a lot. DNI if you demonize any disorder/disability and/or you believe in "narc-abuse" or similar.
When we put misogynists and misandrists on our DNI, we were not aware that misandry was a controversial term due to it being so similar to the word misogyny, implying that cis men experience systematic oppression. Androphobia isn't the best term either, since people can have real phobias toward the opposite sex, and in the case of being afraid of men, it's often related to trauma. So we'll be changing that part to just "sexists DNI". Just know that that includes those who are misogynistic, those who believe men are oppressed, those who don't understand how the patriarchy negatively affects both men and women in different ways, those enforcing toxic masculinity, people who are anti-choice ("pro-life"), people who deny men's mental health and male victims, and those who use points of sexism towards men to be misogynistic.
We'll also be adding "transmisogynists DNI", "transandrophobes DNI" (in this case we're going to allow 'phobia' to be used, since it's not a widely recognized phobia), and "intersexists DNI". These are all real issues that we care about, and we're always happy to learn more, especially about intersexism, since we've found it pretty difficult to keep up with rapidly changing opinions on sex terminology (AGABpunks rule, btw).
That should be it? Hopefully, anyway.
In other news, we'll be editing our coining posts at some point with an updated DNI image, including a tag list, adding image IDs and PTs, etc. We have no idea when or how long it'll take, but those are all on our list of things to get done.
