Any fun facts about the ROs you've wanted to share that no one's asked about?

Yeah, I mean, there are a lot of funny little facts and details about the RO’s that might not be used outside of their characters sheets, unless someone specifically asks. Their favorite colors, their favorite books, their beverage of choice, their secret hobbies, random quirks and so on and so forth. I’m always down to answer inquiries though, and I really love recieving these asks!!I’ve shared some random facts here and here before, but there’s always so much more, honestly I don’t even know where to begin.😅 Isaia - Had he lived in current times, he’d be extremely fond of weird and absurd cartoons, such as Courage the Cowardly Dog and Adventure Time.

June - She has a very faint scottish accent, and she blushes at dirty jokes. 

Alfeo - He does a lot of oil paintings, or at least he used to. His favorite color is green, just to spite a certain author of Elwins favorite book, see below. (This is a rather obscure reference, kudos to whoever can figure this one out.)

Sela - She can blow smoke rings, usually into people’s faces. 

Elwin - His favorite book is Faust by Goethe, and he’s much more idealistic than one might assume, politically but also philosophically. He’s quite esoteric in his beliefs. 

Olive - She has a thing for sappy romance novels.

Noah - He likes to knit, he plays the piano, and he makes clocks as a hobby. 

Elliot - Since the setting for Westerhollow is somewhere between late 1800′s to early 1900′s, there is a lack of vocabulary and thus a lack of understanding, but if Elliot had the word for it she’d identify herself as genderqueer.

The New Rules is No Rules

More than anything I wish I could have someone in my life with whom to grow and share many different emotions and experiences. But in this day where the Internet has made the world so much smaller and everything more accessible, we are out of time. Everyone is so busy.

It’s like we all have ADD. We have a lot more choices and we are not willing to give someone enough time to get to know them. We are always in the lookout for “what else is out there.” Dates have become obsolete and have been replaced by the non-committal “Hanging out.” And if you put your foot down until you’re asked on a proper date, you’re left there standing alone. Ladies, we have created a society of lazy, inconsiderate and unappreciative men by offering them the pussy on a platter. Toss your “The Rules” book because nobody playing the game is following them anymore. It’s a new game and everyone is out for themselves.

Out of fear to seem needy or uncool, I accept that I am not a priority on anybody’s life. (This is when I miss my co-dependent abusive ex-boyfriend. At least he was all about me). So I act understanding when The German boy has to spend the next few weeks running for hours and riding his bike 100 miles a day a few times a week as training for the upcoming triathlon. Yes, he has the body of an Adonis, but you can achieve that with much less effort and in less time. Instead of telling him that I think Triathlons and marathons are an egotistical waste of time to achieve an accomplishment that is useless in life, I act supportive and understanding because he has my interest. I also pretend to understand The Boy who works as a cook and has so much going on in his life that he’s not capable of dating consistently. Of course, I have way more time although I have a full-time and part-time job, a house and tenant roommates (who act like pre-school children), a dozen mostly elderly pets and no car. But he, in spite of all his issues, has my heart. 

But a girl has needs and to my own shock, five days ago I had my first one night stand with a Self-Proclaimed-Bachelor who had a bachelor pad to match. I’m not even good at doing that because I shall see him again to take the edge off. It’s like that old dating trick girls do where they eat dinner before going out on a dinner date so as not to be too hungry and pig out in front of their date. Taking care of business will allow me to be cool and collected in front of the guy that has my attention and the one that has my heart. It’s not my first choice and I’m still keeping my eyes open for that mythical prince charming who’s ready to commit and make me his first priority and his one and only to come galloping in on his unicorn.
