It's been a while since she's come back to Morioh. For a while, Italy had called her home with issues to care for at the villa, but now she was back, and the small town wasn’t so different. It still was just as warm and welcoming as it had been that summer, two years ago, except the people she’d known were a little older, a little wiser.
And yet, here she is, back at that same cafe, sipping her boiling hot black coffee, and flipping through pages of a new manuscript, a warm, summer afternoon breeze blowing silver tresses across her eyes, but she pays it no mind. The day is nice, and this evokes comforting memories.
Places, people she met, all wrapping into yet another summer she was unlikely to forget, even among the hordes upon hordes of memories she’d collected.
Passing by the edge of her peripheral vision, a shock of purple, unusual, even in a town as colorful as this, and it has her lifting her head as she sets down her coffee, and finds herself waving and calling a name she only remembered from a girl she bumped into on the street, two years ago.
“Celeste, Celeste! Over here!”
