Shifting tip!
(or at the very least this is something I do that helps me in more ways than one)
Write love letters to yourself.
Personally, I write four. One to myself as myself, one to my DRself as myself (whoever I may be focusing on that day), one to DRself as my DRself, and one to myself as my DRself.
I try to do this at least twice a week. It has the benefits of:
Improving my self-esteem
Helping me see the good in myself
Get into 'character' as my DRself
Find the insecurities my DRself has and how they differ from mine
Feeling more grounded in general
Sometimes these turn into rants about my day and what what wrong and that's okay too! It gives me a moment to breathe and let everything else. I always end these on a positive note so as to center myself again.
They don't have to be long--I've written up to 2 pages and as little as 2 sentences for these before--but they might help someone, so I'd thought I'd share!

Okay, I'm done with finals now so at long last:
The Shower Method
(This is not my method; I found it on as a tiktok reposted on insta and revised it a little.)
The Shower Method is an awake shifting method.
Get in the shower, and close the shower curtain tightly. As you shower, imagine your ORself 'washing away' and being replaced with your DRself. You can have subliminals on if you're comfortable with having your phone in the bathroom while you shower.
Now that you are your DRself, think about your OR going down the drain as well; with each drop of water it fades further and further from you.
Here can also think about the new water being from your DR; is it a different color? What type of showers do they use? Are you in your home, gym class, the locker room?
When you're ready, turn off the water and open the curtain to find yourself in your DR.
The reason I use this method is because this is also how I ground and meditate already! You can practice and get comfortable with this by imagining the water washing away the stresses of the way and sending them down the drain.
This can also be adjusted for taking a bath! If taking a bath, as you drain the tub, think of it pulling your OR in with it, leaving your DR behind (if you like bath bombs and don't mind sparkles/glitter, you could use one of those and each piece could be an aspect of your DR.) When you get out of the bath, you will be in your DR. I recommend closing the curtain for this one as well.
Again, think about where in your DR you want to get out. Maybe you're swimming with your friends, or in a hot tub, or bathing at home.
