hohoho I created a monster! and I want to share it with you. it's an over 8h long christmas songs playlist. I curated it over 10 years, every year some new songs find their way unto the list. and I know, for a lot of you this might sound absolutely torturous but fear not! this playlist time and again got the compliment to be pleasantly un-annoying. and yea well it's a blend of mostly singer-songwriter, folk and indie with a bit of jazz and classic sprinkled in. also a few tracks that are not christmas songs per se but feel christmas-y to me.

so. I don't know. could be a nice one even if you don't like christmas music that much.

I don't know if anyone else is picked up on this but I noticed a shift in Angelica's repeating 'satisfied' line in Hamilton.

The first time she sings the line it's in the song 'Satisfied' and the exact words she says are: "

"And I know

She will be happy as his bride

And I know

He will never be satisfied

I will never be satisfied"

To me this feels as if she's saying she will never be satisfied with the choice she made and the life that they'll live because of it, she will never be satisfied without him and he will never be satisfied without her. So because of her decision neither of them will ever be complete.

During 'Non-Stop' she repeats the same line:

"He will never be satisfied"

She says this after Eliza says, "Look around, isn't this enough?" and it feels like she is echoing the same statement he will never be fully satisfied with the life that she chose for them, the life he lives with Eliza and that he will always seek more in her and in politics.

She repeats the line for the final time during 'The Reynolds Pamphlet' and it changes. She says:

"You could never be satisfied, God, I hope you're satisfied"

To me it feels like she's finally realizing here that it's not because of her and her choice that he's not satisfied, it's because of him and his nature. It's not that he will never be satisfied without her, it's not that he will never be satisfied with where he is in life, it's that he could never be satisfied. No matter what happens, no matter who he's with or who he marries or what happens to him. She finally lets go of this romanticized version of him that will never be complete without her and realizes the truth, that he is a driven, ambitious and selfish man to the point where no matter what happens to him it will never be enough. He could never be satisfied.

Idk if I'm reading way too far into this but this change in lyrics just stuck out to me and this is my opinion on what it means.
