He'd said to come right up, that the door was unlocked. Hadn't he? Yes, she was absolutely positive of that fact. And in an attempt to follow his directions, she turned the knob and peeked in, not seeing anyone around. And so she ventured a few steps to the left.

 Right about then, she was greeted by the sight of him shirtless, untying the laces of his shoes as he sat upon rumpled sheets. His gaze met hers, and unsure what to say, she turned on heel for the door muttering something about being right outside.
