These are two rocks. They were made in different ways. They have different names to distinguish how they were made.
One of them is a "sedimentary" rock.
The other is a "metamorphic" rock.
Maybe the "metamorphic" rock was "sedimentary" once, but it isn't anymore. Maybe it was just always "metamorphic".
"Sedimentary" isn't a slur against the other rock. It's just a name to distinguish it from "metamorphic".
They are still both rocks.
