6 years ago a lifetime of gender confusion suddenly made sense when I learned about non-binary genders. People who are non-binary don’t identify as male or female but rather a blending of the two, or don’t feel a connection with any gender, or perhaps their gender varies from day to day, or, in some cases people feel more like a particular gender but not completely. All of these identities fall under the umbrella of Non-Binary Gender Identities. You say you don’t know anyone - yes you do - me! I bet there are others around you somewhere. You don’t have to completely understand at first. All I ask is for an open mind. Think about how you identify and try and imagine a world where your gender is understood and you have to defend it all the time. It’s not very pleasant, is it?
