what they smell like: dust, old books, some clean, sharp smell that’s hard to place (it’s like a flowing fountain, new flowers and piles upon piles of clean cloth, it’s an artist’s scent, a scent of glass tiles and an open debate floor)

what music they like: anything - shes an ainur and everything with a rhythm is interesting

something they collect: stories, songs, history (and old books in modern au)

what their bedroom looks like: coated in tapestries, and she’s made most everything in it. it’s neat, but small, and there’s space for old trunks with things that needn’t be seen by fëar in it

their eating habits: anything fruity or sweet, and of course, strong coffee and dark chocolate. in canon she eats maybe twice every thousand years, but modern/whatever au she’s much more of a steady eater

intellectual pursuits & other hobbies: arts of all sorts ( minus ceramics), old books, translating old languages, writing angry letters at incorrect media reporters -

their most prized position: the scarf blindfold

you are a hella rad person and what other people think of you does not define you

related to the above: youre gonna meet people who will think that part of who you are is not okay. youll try to change so people will like you, but those people will (mostly) eventually leave and you will find people who like you for who you are and its gonna be awesome

you will get through this. i know all those posts saying ‘it gets better’ dont really help but as your future self who has (mostly) gotten through it, trust me, you will and itll be worth it
