Teeny Tiny Update

Who knew but I apparently have the ability to speak seagull. Okay so my coworkers and I like to eat outside since the weather has been awesome lately. But the area is plagued with seagulls who steal food and will practically attack people for their food. So I laughing as my buds get lynched by big white birds when one seagull comes running up to me eyeing my sandwich. And without thinking I go, " Stop damnit, if you wait a minute I'll give you the last bite." And my friends burst out laughing at me, but the damn seagull comes over and lays down at my feet like a damn dog and quietly waits. I'm like...oh shit that worked?! And I eat my sandwich and at the last bite I reach down and give it to the bird who takes it gently and takes off. My friends are staring at me now and I mumble, "I am the bird whisperer!"

Boyfriend’s grandparents gave me a Michael’s gift card for Christmas so today I bought a bunch of new canvases. I went big, and got a set of 16x20s, and got new-to-me sizes, including 12x12 squares and 3x3 miniatures. I’m so excited for art in 2016!

Every year, some friends and I exchange our best songs of the year. The only rules are one song per album and the full set must fit on a single CD (my friend who started it is old school and listens to CDs in his car and I love that about him). I always take a lot of pride in organizing my songs so they flow nicely. Except his year my 20 songs are evenly split between folk indie (think Brandi Carlile and Glen Hansard) and post-punk alternative (think Sleater-Kinney and Airborne Toxic Event). To say meshing them is challenging is an understatement.

You guys, you guys, I got a new computer today!!

It’s the first brand-new computer I’ve bought in a decade (this is why I’m Team Mac 5ever) and I’m so in love! Plus, @em2mb sent me an advent box full of goodies so all in all, December is starting on a high note!
