SATTUMAAKO??
im playing a game called w.uthering wa.ves (yeah its a gacha yes i like gachas i know its my only major character flaw) and this quest has a sleepy/smug voice saying shit like "a break from thinking will feel sooo good..." and "it's okay not to know..." and etc and im like [gripping my thighs] NO we CANNOT go into subspace rn we have to GAME EFFECTIVELY
am so fweaking hongry rn... why is my fridge always empty ... it should be magically replenished every time I clear it out aka every single day
it is kind of crazy to me that nobody ever. well that's not true. i very rarely see people locate or describe cullen's interest in a mage warden as deeply frightening or even just messy and complicated. like, it's always framed as romantic and awkward and sweet. and i get it we all love our stuttering white man whatever but like.
you are a mage. you've lived your life locked in a tall, isolated tower. you have like 2.5 legal rights total, and those are easily ignored by those in power. you are surrounded by magic cops who can legally lobotomize or kill you if they can make a convincing enough argument that you're a danger, and all the other magic cops are primed to believe that you're a danger because they think you were born with extra sin. the magic cops have the ability to make your one meaningful source of power completely useless. you don't get to control what you eat, when you sleep — which means you don't get to control if you eat, if you sleep.
and one of those magic cops wants you. maybe romantically, maybe sexually. and the magic cop gets to control if you live or die, and if you eat and if you sleep, and if you fight back or even just express discomfort you know that'll just be more evidence about how you need to be hurt. you smile uncomfortably while he flirts, and you don't think this one is the kind who would try to see you killed or lobotomized if you said no, but you can't be sure. so you can't say no.
like. I DON'T KNOW IT'S JUST WILD TO ME THAT I NEVER SEE ANYONE ENGAGE WITH THE OBVIOUS THING HERE. how freely given can consent be in these situations!!! how would this not be at least a little scary!!
Karak is a desert now
…pardon…?
it really would also just have made more sense if she was just jacob’s kid. like the jtr dlc takes place in 1889-ish and there’s no mention of him having a kid by then. lydia frye is born is 1893. i’m starting to think the “this is my grandkid who i am coincidentally raising as my own because her parents are uhhhhhhh indisposed” was just a cover for something.
i’d literally give my firstborn for them to stop gelling buck’s curls into a helmet on his head and instead let them hang over his forehead like in the morning after scene they are literally stifling his true potential. let your hair down rapunzel
