by the time of the landmseet getting called elen's Development has happened enough that she's

pretty much over her moral issues with killing* and in fact actively enjoys when she gets to murder

rightfully convinced she and the gang are basically unbeatable, any time anyone tries to fight her shes just like lol. lmao even.

anyway i love every cutscene where someone shows up 2 try and kill elen while she's moving thru denerim's back alleys because it just is like "damn these guys think they can kill us. haha. that's funny. i'm going to make them blow up with magic now." ad nauseum

#nonsense.#*inwardly she still has complicated feelings abt it #but shes not aware of them as consciously. and also shes only recently realized that her entire childhood #was a parade of injustices and that she SHOULD love her magic and she SHOULD be allowed 2 defend herself #so the pendulum has swung a lil too far and now shes kinda doing violence for the sake of it #like a year after the game i do think she kind of has a meltdown abt how much death shes caused #anyway u wont imagine how hard she crashes after losing 2 cauthrien and getting TORTURED

the thing is i really don't like when video games or movies or etc have elves and the only difference between them and humans is that elves have pointy ears. like i get it in live action film to some extent because like. all the actors are humans what are you gonna do. but otherwise it's just so fucking boring. make them trend taller or shorter or give them weird freaky eyes or distinct facial features or weird proportions or SOMETHING. it doesn't even have to be extreme. but give me SOMETHING. and obviously just like there are humans who are taller than average or shorter than average there can be exceptions sometimes and maybe some elves just kinda genetically wind up looking vaguely human sometimes but on the whole i want them to be distinct in some obvious ways.

anyway this is why i havent gotten very far in-game with any of my veilguard elves i just get annoyed theyre not weirder looking

#nonsense.#i know its controversial but i LOVE da2's elve design philosophy #i LOVE the huge bug eyes and the nose bridge and the willowy-ness and etc #i mod dao to have da2 style elves!!!!!#and i think inquisition does a rly good job on the whole of reaching a fairly acceptable middle ground if u dont want them THAT stylized #like they tend to have larger eyes and straighter noses and etc etc but theres exceptions n all that #whereas in datv theyre just like. ok so thats just a human being.#like i LOVE that elves get some more body diversity but we couldnt make them look like #ANYTHING other than just humans??? we couldnt do ANYTHING fun????#and because of the cc's limitations (god veilguard's cc is so limited....which im sure makes it easier for someone #who isnt that good at fucking around with cc but I AM GOOD AT IT and it PISSES ME OFF i cant adjust #the minutae of the eye size and cupids bow and etc) u cant make a truly Weird looking elf #in the da2 style if u tried!!!!!!!!!!!!#frankly id take giving elves the goat pupils they had in that one comic. just SOMETHING #i kept hoping a mod would come out that would make this more feasible but alas #mostly an aside but i also love the divinity elves #rly tall. wide shoulders. limbs stretched like taffy. big hands #humanoid but very clearly something extremely different in a way thats just baaarely uncanny valley

it is extensive and deeply fucked in ways that would make listing em all nearly impossible. if u can narrow it down to like, a particular character's cc or environments or fits or the like i can try and go from there!

the problem with looking at custom content for any game with character creator is that ill see a cool hair or outfit or smth and immediately go holy FUCK i gotta make a new oc to use these awesome new boots or smth. and brother that leads to a lot of ocs
