i see a lot of people who say they skipped ACOFAS and it's like why? yes it's a novella, but it happens to be a very important novella that contains hints everywhere in the book about possible future books.
it even says this on SJM's website:
"this story bridges the events of ACOWAR and the upcoming novels in the series"
the novella contained crumbs of what ACOSF would be about with nesta and cassian AND contains a lot of elain and azriel moments. it even contains a Mor POV - which could be a hint that we could get a book of hers in the future?
the special edition book even has art of the four together predicting their upcoming books with each other.
and then of course you can't forget the interview at the end of the book where SJM talks about gardening as research for elain's book.
so if you're thinking of skipping ACOFAS, don't.
