Noiseless and smoother allowing flexibility for changeover
Noise ....can be very disturbing and annoying when you are highly focused and trying to accomplish something very important such as driving on road, studying for important exam or even trying to hit a shot in a game by concentrating harder. Noise can cause distraction...slightest of noise can lead to bigger damage due to disturbance. Houses are preferred in peaceful areas rather than noisy and heavy traffic areas. Tranquillity is a major factor in everyone’s life and it is always associated with peace of mind and higher functionality and productivity.
Imagine a drive through woods.. Peaceful and serene as it may seem! Birds chirping around, river flowing nearby and you can hear it clearly. Your well maintained car engine is supporting your peaceful state of mind by running silently. What a heavenly experience! But halt.....the grooves in your tires are fitted with studs.......boom..goes down the excitement level! They create a scratchy noise that would be the last thing you would expect in your serene journey. If not removed on time, they can also damage the surface of the road by creating continual rolling friction. That is the reason, some countries have banned usage of studs. But in many countries it is not so. Why are they even there, what is the reason?
These studs are there for a purpose. These studs are made of strong metal. They are fitted into the grooves to provide added traction on icy road. They are fitted into the gaps present in the tread. They actually bite into the snow and add to the surface grip. But they are strong enough to damage a pavement or road surface. Hence many countries have outlawed them and prefer use of non-studded tires (stud less) for the same purpose during harsh winter and icy roads.
This type comes with stronger rubber compound and deeper tread, which helps them to manage mud and wet road underneath. Earlier, colder temperatures would freeze them making driving less pleasurable and more risky due to less flexibility. But modern technique has added a capability to manage flexibility during lower temperatures as well. Their unique tread pattern and design helps immensely to get that much required grip on icy road without creating that disturbing noise.
Now you can imagine a road trip journey during pleasant summer in countryside with your family in those scenic places with chirping of birds and swishing waters moreover without having to worry about noise and damaging the road through those studs. It is just peaceful journey and serenity of area around you that will grip your mind and make wonderful memories.
