 “Yes, it isn’t a myth. We can enter public spaces; but when it comes to privately owned property--we must be invited in.” 

     As Kiki situated herself, Stanislav remained standing, unsure if he should touch anything. Even though Kiki probably wouldn’t have minded, it was better to avoid being too informal; regardless of their mutual attraction.

       “My home is less colourful; if not more bland than my office.” Stanislav avoided mentioning the possibility of inviting Kiki over, in part due to what his home symbolized: sanctuary. He hadn’t extended an invitation to just anyone, as tempted as he was to bring Kiki home sometime. That would only be so if he could tell her--and tonight, preferably--before things traversed into a territory from which the vampire couldn’t retreat. After taking a moment to consider, he brushed aside the idea of a movie. He rarely watch television, save for the off-hand chance he might listen to the news while responding to emails. “Perhaps your artwork, if you wouldn’t mind. I understand if you want to withhold, but...” Stanislav trailed off, gazing into her eyes. I want to see into your mind. I want to understand you, Kiki.

    Those were the words that he hesitated to say, words he couldn’t bring himself too. How helpless it felt, understanding how important the wiccan had become. As if she were something precious, something of which Stanislav could admire forever. She was nothing like the momentary infatuations he’d reserved towards various men and women in his lifetime--this was the closest thing he had come to experiencing what he assumed to be love.

          I think I’m starting to understand what JJ meant.

            Stanislav gazed upon Kiki’s face, awaiting her response.

“More bland than your office? Looks like we should get some plants for your house as well....which means you should stop by the shop again” an innocent smile gracing her features, slipping in another excuse for him to visit her at work.

At the request of seeing her artwork she was quick to answer. “Yeah of..” she paused as her brows furrowed. She hadn’t touched the box with her old artwork since she moved. She knew what travesties laid within but she also had art she was fond of. “Yeah I’ve been needing to go through my old art anyway, clear some of it out. I’ll go get it!” With that she twirled and ran off to her room the grab the box. It was hidden within her closet and she struggled pulling it out. “Noodle arms...” muttering to herself but she was determined to do it herself. She ended up not being able to carry it so instead she reached down and pushed it into the living room. Plopping onto the floor and huffing softly as she glared at the box that she had to push. She was a bit nervous showing Stan her vent artwork that laid within the box along with other things but, she trusted him.
