OJT EATS | Kung Fu Noodle
So lately, the place to go for noodles is Noodle Inn in Soho. However, for a while, before it became more widely known that it had a sister restaurant, you could more or less avoid the queues by going to Kung Fu Noodle. That's what we managed to do a little while ago.
We weren't too hungry so ended up just getting a few dishes. First up was this plate of dumplings. Covered in crispy onions and a seasoned soy, this was a great plate of food! The dumplings were super tasty and really well cooked.
We're a big fan of duck tongues so couldn't resist this plate of spicy duck tongues. They turned out to be not as spicy as we expected but still with a bit of a kick. The portion size was a little smaller than we'd have liked but still very enjoyable.
Now onto the star of the show; the noodles. With a name like Kung Fu Noodle, they'd set expectations high. While the noodles weren't quite the super wide ones we were hoping for, they still had a good bite to them and the broth was full of flavour. Admittedly, these were a good bowl of noodles but not something we would queue very long for which unfortunately is now the case.
This was a quick, simple and very tasty meal but it doesn't make me particularly excited to rush out to join the queue for Noodle Inn. We'll still give it a go when the wait dies down a bit. In the meantime, if we happen to catch this place when we're hungry and we can get in straightaway, we'll definitely by back.
