Armed only with true life tales, storytellers will face off to claim the title of Perth’s best raconteur.
Following the 2011 & 2012 sell-out Battle seasons the search is now on for a new champion.
Special guest judges will keep a watchful eye over proceedings as the contestants battle the clock and each other to claim the title.
Strict six minute limits, great prizes, no themes - anything goes!

After a six-month trip around-the-world LOWER SPECTRUM has returned with a full-length album and a special evening to launch it for the first time in Perth. Having carved out a unique style with 2 EP’s and a handful of acclaimed remixes, Lower Spectrum returns with a 9 track album of poise and beauty. Overflowing lush textures, surprising and explosive atmospheres are set in unencumbered, unearthly spaces, all somehow seamlessly set against crackly cut vinyl chops, field recordings and deep-laced rhythms. On the ‘Little Appeal’ album Lower Spectrum channels and refines his sound into a mercurial blend of warm analogue colours and raw honest emotion that stretches, bends and warps the sonic palette. Joining him on the night are the electronic fracturing bass tones of Leon Osborn and the subtle palpitating textures of Omega Is The Alpha. $10 // 8pm

ELLIOT SMITH TRIBUTE NIGHT It's been 10 years since the sad passing of Elliott Smith. In memory of a great influence on many musicians in the Perth scene, we've put together a tribute night featuring covers and interpretations of his music. Featuring performaces by Anton Franc, Our Man In Berlin, Archer and Light, The Shallows, Sidewalk Diamonds, Amanda Merdzan, David Craft, FYEK, Caroline J Dale as well as performances from members of Louis and the Honkytonk, Childsaint, Warning Birds and Tenderhooks. There will also be a poetry performance by Kate Wilson. All proceeds for the night will go to SANE Australia $10 // 6pm
