Polar Bear (Ursus Maritimus) standing on a rock island, searching for seals. Side view of the animal, behind the massive Nordenskiöld glacier, Svalbard, Spitsbergen.

“This Polar Bear was searching over this whole island for seals. It took the polar bear around 45min to go into each corner to sniff the whole island out for food. Sadly, afterwards he disappeared. But one day later, late in the evening, I saw him in the distance on a little iceberg standing up, sniffing the air. Not far from him was seal drifting in its iceberg. The seal "got some sniff" of the bear. It went into the water, coming out a few with more than half the its body to check if all is clear around its iceberg. The polar bear was not seen anymore. The seal came out again of the water, as fast it came out, as fast it was dragged under water. The polar bear caught the seal from under water! A few seconds later the bear pulled the seal on the iceberg to feed on it.”
