Are you guys aware? Perry the platypus just became a grandpa. (On platypus day of all times)
I’ll never get over Nordle missing his dad and bringing the two people he cares about most on a wild goose chase to find his father, and they’re so supportive and care for him so much and won’t give up on him. It’s such a sweet bonding moment between Nordle, Gretel and Tobor.
And then they clear all the tasks to get to the truth of where Professor Exclamation is hiding. The very last question is “what is your birthday?” Then, Nordle excitingly typed in his birthday and Tobor tells him that his father could never remember his birthday so he made one up.
And the keypad won’t let him erase his birthday and try again, so his very last option to find out where his dad is has been taken away from him. Because he thought his dad remembered his birthday.
How cruel do you have to be to MAKE THAT THE LAST QUESTION, when clearly all the other questions were ones Nordle KNEW the answer to. The only one who knows the answer to this last question is TOBOR. And while, yes, it’s obvious that Nordle would bring Tobor with him, what if he didn’t?
It’s so on the nose to make the ≈treasure hunt end like that. It illustrates so well how horrible of a father he is and how reliant they both are on Tobor.
I feel like no one is talking about last Saturday’s episode of Hamster and Gretel, so here! Take my fan-made promo for the second half!!
