Decided I'm going to make a post about it every time I have a song stuck in my head, so here we are.
Hi, here are some songs I wrote a couple years ago and published about a week ago:
I've shared this one before, but I don't think it had the clarinet part.
And here's a "night" version that I don't remember posting before.
Maybe someday soon I'll put the final polish on these so I'll want to publish them to Spotify and Bandcamp and all that.
My latest single is now available on Bandcamp! Get it here first! It won't be available anywhere else until 12 July. It might just be my best song yet, if I may say so myself.
Song Credits:
TAGoHD (me): Composer, Producer, Arranger, Programmer, Mixer
Brian Campbell: Clarinet, Tenor Saxophone
Andres Mayo: Mastering Engineer
@lunathrix: Album Art
Did you know you can commission me to write a song for you? @lunathrix did. So, here's a song I wrote for his Hollow Knight comic, Dr. Ghost. This was a lot of fun! Thank you for being my first ever patron!
(DM for details if you want to commission me.)
I paid a guy to do a sax solo for me, and he did 5, so now I can't decide which one I want to use. Which one is your favorite?
(The drum beats at the beginning of each one are not part of the song. It's just so you can tell when a new clip is starting.)
Which sax solo is best?
Solo 1
Solo 2
Solo 3
Solo 4
Solo 5
A combination (specify in tags)
Imagine you're from a small town, and you have to go to a big, dirty city. You don't know anybody there, all the strangers seem to hate you, and you just don't feel welcome. You didn't even want to come, but the plot required it. You seek the training of the old master who lives there, or perhaps it's the only place you can find the rare MacGuffin you need; the specifics don't matter. The point is, you're lost, you hate it here, and you're pretty sure the feeling's mutual. Oh, and it's been raining the whole time.
What's the soundtrack? (Bonus points if it's from a film or video game. For context, I've been trying to write a song based on this idea for a few weeks, and I'm stuck. I could use some inspiration, but I don't even know where to look. All the video game city soundtracks I can think of are either too upbeat or not really my style.)
This will be up on my Bandcamp as soon as I get an ISRC for it (hopefully a couple days, but I don't really know). In the meantime, here's a brief sample of my favorite part of the song. Album art by the incomparable @lunathrix
In case you're, like, super interested in the Lore (TM) behind my songs (basically my OC-verse which I've really only ever hinted at), I've started yet another sideblog to keep track of all that. It's really only of interest to me and one other person, but you can check it out at @mono-lore if you want. Or not.
