Brave Sons of England is a new musical with a classic sound. It follows the story of Shakespeare's Henriad plays, Richard the Second,

This is the show that I'm performing in at the Frigid Festival! It's based on Shakespeare's Henriad plays (Richard II, Henry IV, Henry V). This particular production is just a concert performance with minimal book, because this is the very first performance of it anywhere, and I am so damn chuffed to be a part of it, originating the role of John of Gaunt. The score is great, the cast is great (@miss-nerdstiles will be performing in it as well), I'm really excited about this and hoping to get as many eyes on it as possible.

Tumblr is a little weird to advertise live performances on, because I don't know how many of my followers even live close enough to come, but this time it doesn't matter where you are, because there's an official livestream happening too! Please at least watch that!

Fantastic news, I was just scrolling through my own writing on my blog and didn't hate any of it. I even thought some of it was pretty good.

So either my mental health has significantly improved or my writing skills have and tbh either is perfectly fine by me.

So… I always try to keep consistently writing the same projects, but I had this idea for a fic stuck in my head and couldn’t continue writing either my main fic or my original works, so I just went ahead and wrote it.

Truly a weird experience. I usually like to take my time, set the mood and scene but I was so desperate to get back to my usual I just went to writing with a barebones outline. The fic doesn’t even have over 10k words, and at times writing it felt like a fever dream. I did it in one sitting, and around 3-4 in the morning when I published it I was almost sleeping at my desk.

If anyone is interested the fic is titled ‘Her Biggest Fan, Her Only Fan’ in ao3, and it is F/F BkDk. It is exactly what it says on the tin. Gender-bent, MHA yuri… Were it not for the fact that I don’t drink or do any kind of drugs I would almost be suspicious about my sobriety at the moment of writing, it is not that crazy or spicy, but it is so unlike the way I like writing or what I like writing about.

And that was exactly how she found herself wrangling the old witch’s ghost into boiling gold cauldron while her husband got the distinctly preferable task of breaking into the Department of Mysteries in order to steal a prophecy.

She would’ve had those sentries, stationed outside the correct hall, drinking pure ink out of her hand without breaking a sweat. Alas, instead she was stuck in a searing heat, her otherwise perfectly pulled-back hair plastered disgustingly to her forehead, cheeks, and neck.
