EVENT 4 // TRUTH... OR DARE?
For the Murder Club, prom had been a terrifying prospect. Not only were they faced with the horrors of raging teenage hormones, dancing in public, and the social nuances of high school relationships, but nights meant for merriment had a way of turning into gorefests lately. Half of the club didn’t want to attend at all, but the optimistic few dragged them along.
Surprisingly, everything went better than expected. As long as you don’t count the Mayor’s son serenading Holly Eve-Knights. That was fucking weird.
As the night is winding down, you’re almost disappointed it has to end. You’re out of breath, your feet are killing you, and you officially have a pink-tinted mustache from all the punch you’ve knocked back, but fun has been a rare, much-needed commodity in your life and you’re sad to give it up so soon. You’re lamenting to a friend about this when a chaperone approaches you.
“Sorry, but I couldn’t help overhearing you kids,” she says. You aren’t sure if you know her name, but half the parents in town are blonde PTA moms and it’s impossible to tell them apart anyway. “Prom after parties are a rite of passage. We even did them back in my day, if you can believe it. I am a huge advocate for y’all having a good time, but... a safe, good time. My daughter Sue Ann is having a little thing back at our house and my gosh she would just be so excited if you joined us.”
You aren’t sure who the heck Sue Ann is and you’re about to decline until she tells you there’ll be drinks. Just between us, she adds with a wink. You really don’t want the party to end and this promise of a “safe, good time” is more precious to you than this random lady could ever understand.
Alright, you decide. What could possibly go wrong?
You, the rest of the Murder Club, and some fresh new faces all find yourselves sitting in a circle in Sue Ann’s living room. Her mother hands out wine coolers before excitedly clapping her hands like a camp counselor.
“Ooh, I have a really fun idea for you kids!” she squeals, clearly reliving her own prom night. “How about an old-fashioned game of Truth or Dare?”
Start Date: March 19
End Date: TBD
Admin Notes: This event is occurring directly after prom. The Truth or Dare game will be occurring on Discord. On the sever, you will find two new location channels: Sue Ann’s house and “side convos”. The rules are as follows:
1. To avoid chaos and give everyone a chance to play, the Sue Ann’s house channel is for characters currently playing the game. For example: If it is Jamie’s turn to ask Violet ‘truth or dare’, then Jamie and Violet should be the characters interacting in the channel. When Violet then proceeds to ask Holly, it is now Violet’s and Holly’s turn to interact. Please TAG the person your character is calling out for T or D with the @ function when it is your/their turn.
2. The side channel “side convos” is for everyone else to play around with during the game. This is for the characters’ reactions to what is happening in the other channel. For example: Violet is doing a sexy dance on a table in the first channel and in the side convos, Bryce is egging her on with some whoop whoops and Edwina is trying not to watch.
