Beyond Skin [ 心. 目 ] exhibition will show in New York City from 24-30 June at Untitled Space Gallery. This will be the first time my Asian Male photography will be shown outside of Asia. Kaizer's Gallery is now open to the public. He said that after seeing these photographs, he is now even more determined to get into better shape, but I personally don't feel the necessity. There is something that is very real about this type of physique, that isn't artificially glossed over and measured by the inch and % of body fat.

I took these photographs of Benjamin, a friend of mine that I think has a very interesting face, somewhat innocent and with a sense of loss in his eyes. He wasn’t so sure if he liked them. Nevertheless I came to realise that portraiture by me is more about me as the photographer and what I see in their face, than about the subject posing, as if they were facilitating my internal feelings.

Norm Yip is Canadian-born-Chinese photographer and painter based in Hong Kong. He is known for his fine art photography of Asian male nudes.

I actually think this photograph is a masterpiece… after seeing an actual print of this. A rare photograph that shows the beauty of the male physique that is both masculine and feminine. My famous Milkboy photo that can never be replicated. It’s too hard to match with the way the milk covers the face, the crisscross of the milk below the chin and the expression on the model’s face.
