Silence could reign in that room if it weren't for the rain outside.
Kiku and Lukas weren't very talkative, even though they had their moments of conversation, especially when it was about things they liked.
As they did when it rained, they were sitting on the couch, both focused on what they were doing.
Lukas read a book while Kiku saw an anime on his cell phone, leaning against his boyfriend.
That silence was already customary and comfortable – there was trust between them, and so it wasn't necessary to exchange many words, only the necessary ones.
The episode Kiku watched was over. He turned away from Lukas, who looked away from the book curiously.
"Do you want some tea?"
"Yes please."
Kiku had been preparing the tea, accustomed to that routine. Both were stuck in the routines, but they liked it. They weren't very adventurous people, they liked the calm and they could find that in the other. After a day of stressful work, being in the other's arms was like a well-deserved rest.
The tea was ready and they sat at the table talking about news they had heard.
"Simon bought a new game," said Lukas, blowing shortly afterwards. "A board game. Imagine, Vikings. "
"It's his face."
"Berwald is annoyed because he thinks Simon cheats in the game."
"Looks like things are lively there," Kiku chuckled.
Lukas allowed himself a smile and commented that Tino had already won that game with great ease that left the others shocked, including Lukas who had also played.
"You should play. It's cool. "
"Alright."
With the luck of rookie, Kiku had won that match, nor does he know how, but prays a theory that it was Lukas cheating for the other to win, but there is nothing to prove it.
But that's another story for another day.
