Cognoscente: expert/connoisseur Wanderwort:(linguistics) a word that traverses languages. Zeugma: (linguistics) modifying words with an applicable single modifier (he caught a fish and a cold). One-horse: small, remote, insignificant. Reverential: cause veneration, admiration. Cornucopia: extremely abundant. Eldritch: ask H.P. Lovecraft. Decussate: instigate. Retcon:(fiction) revelationary information. Hidebound: stubborn traditionalist. Mugwump: flip-floppin' politician (god bless America) Craftivist: an activist who uses crafted text to send a message. The short shrift: a rude quick rejection. Megillah: long story. Phronesis: pragmatic wisdom. Excrescence: a protrusion, a bulge like cupid's bum. ~ Craftivist was the linchpin for this week's prose and why I was inspired by #norobotsallowed.
