We have a lot of LGBTQ+ kids. We strongly support all of them. We have posters/decals etc around our office space stating it is a safe place for the LGBTQ+ community. We had a couple copier repair men in our unit today. They chose to scoff and ridicule our signs. Fortunately, we didn’t have any kids in the unit at the time. We attempted some education which fell on deaf ears. I am thankful for an administration that is on the same page and when I sent a quick email I was promised that those contractors would no longer be allowed in our building.

La la land

Okay I’ve never been one to rant but certain people are pissing me off. La la land won 7 awards yesterday, which is great the movie is fully deserving. But people are slating it because it won over moonlight on certain awards. People are calling it racist, and anybody who has seen the movie knows that is not the case. Moonlight is an amazing film but so is la la land and Manchester by the sea. And to say those two films are racist, and offensive because they beat out moonlight is extremely hypocritical. Why can’t we just appreciate what the movies are. And what they are, are 3 different incredible movies, with 3 different stories and characters. They all deserve awards, and they are all incredible in their own way. Stop trying to find issues where their are not any.
