The 1988 Staples Corner accident. Two class 31s were stabled in Cricklewood yard when a disgruntled BR employee let the handbrakes off and the two locos rolled away along a siding, crashed through the buffers and came to rest on the North Circular. I wonder what the traffic report had to say about this!
