Sedentary life on wheels

It has been a while since I last posted, and both a lot and very little have changed in that time. I have officially been in my RV for 4 months, and it is finally starting to feel like I have some kind of grasp on what I'm doing.

Since my last post, I spent 4 weeks in Fernley and then 5 weeks in Sparks/Reno, which is only ~25 miles west of Fernley. I am here through 13 November, and after that I should be hitting the road again.

This delay was for a couple of reasons, one of which is new employment. I have been lucky enough to snag a couple of new remote gigs, including content writing and reviewing for a higher education company and a new editing position with another academic editing company. Settling for a couple of months has been good for getting acclimated to new work and figuring out my next step.

About a month ago, I drew this tentative plan:

Clearly I am not an artist, but you get the idea. At this point it looks like the Pacific Northwest and northern California will not be happening at this point and I may be heading toward Louisiana sooner than expected. 

Even though I haven’t gone very far recently, we are staying in a much more dog-friendly location. We are a short walk to a dog park on a lake, and Toby enjoyed swimming until it got too cold:

There was even a small festival downtown that was dog friendly (you can hear Toby complain about lack of attention toward the end):

Overall, however, they seem to be pretty well adjusted and excited no matter where we go.
