In a study published by CDC last October 2020, they suggested that cloth masks should be used for community use only when surgical masks are unavailable as cloth masks can easily be recycled if washed properly. Furthermore, when opting to choose for a cloth mask, look for masks that are made of cotton and towel rather than those made of gauze as these provide better filtration.
