I tried keeping this private, but this situation has risen to such ridiculous levels that I am honestly dumbfounded. As you may or may not know, I’m one half of the admin team over @peregrinerp. A member of the roleplay recently brought @nortonrp to my and my co-admin’s attention because – bluntly put – it’s almost an exact replica of our roleplay. After sending them a message and receiving a lackluster reply, I have decided to make a PSA to make sure that the community is aware of this. Please find more information below the cut.
Most of the similarities come from the graphics, but there are also direct copies of my exact words that I put into Peregrine along with the same exact formatting. I’ll quote my co-admin, Jodie, directly here:
“I did a fair bit of work on the theme at Peregrine. I changed the sidebar titles, formatted the pre/h1/h2/code/etc headers, and changed the transitioning of the links in the sidebar (you can find the original theme here for comparison). Point in case: the theme at Peregrine is unique, edited specifically for the roleplay by myself. Yet Norton’s theme is exactly the same.
Ignoring the fact that their navigation page is basically the same as the navigation at Peregrine, we should also consider that the link to their “guidelins” page directs to our roleplay. I’m not sure how you can accidentally do this without copying and pasting our navigation directly. EDIT: Since I sent them a message, the admin has corrected this… to a page almost identical to ours.

Jodie and I, Jodie especially, worked hard on the theme, graphics, and pages at Peregrine and we don’t appreciate seeing someone else take credit for our effort. Even after Jodie tried to work things out through messaging them, they don’t seem to understand the root of the problem. I’ve written this post to shed light on what has taken place here, since politely contacting the admin has had little to no effect.
TL;DR: Please don’t support @nortonrp! The admin there has very clearly stolen the hard work Jodie and I put into @peregrinerp and has made no significant effort to apologize or change. We wouldn’t want anyone putting work into joining this RP without knowing all of the content they’ve stolen. Thank you so much for reading!!
