Who likes unscented soaps and other body care products? Who has tried them and found the chemical smells almost worse than the perfumes they used to cover up those chemical smells? If you raised your hand, you're not alone. We have unscented versions of all our products. Pictured here are Oatmeal and Honey Goats Milk Soaps ready to wrap. I love the homey, milky smell of these soaps. Besides the lye that is used initially to saponify the oils (there is no other way to saponify oils) there is nothing added but food grade oils, butters, oatmeal and milk. The cool thing about the science of soap making is that during the saponification process, the lye BECOMES soap and glycerin. It undergoes a complete transformation into another product! Anyway, that cool topic aside, I have been thinking of adding more unscented soaps to our ever-expanding line up, and am wondering if anyone has any suggestions for unscented varieties they would love to see? I was thinking about a facial-specific soap, some veggie soaps, (carrot, dandelion, jewelweed, etc), an egg soap, and some clay soaps. I am looking for more ideas and would love to hear yours!
