Weddings in Brazil: If you're invited, you're invited for the ceremony and party. And it's considered rude if you skip the ceremony and goes only to the party (unless, of course, you can't be there for whatever reason). And we usually do big parties (I mean, all of our parties are huge things). So you'll probably invite all of your relatives, work colleagues, friends from school (and sometimes their families as well). And most of our weddings are held in the evening.
Starting around 7pm and ending at 4 or 5 am. I’ve been to a lot of weddings, and only one of them was in the morning. The bride and groom (or they parents when they’re the ones paying everything) pay for all the food and drinks and favors. And that’s why getting married here is expensive. hahahaha
Thank you for sharing :) I’ve never been to a wedding where drinks are paid for. The rest is but I’ve never been to an open bar wedding. But we do have big, long parties! Our weddings are usually 11am one morning till 1am the next morning. It’s so interesting to hear about all the other wedding traditions
