I'm going to post a full review of this later, once I've used it for a day or two, but off the back of my disparaging comments of +Comic-Con International's banning of selfie sticks, I've been contacted by +EGIIS, manufacturers of high-quality 'monopods'... and they've sent a couple of demo models of their X33 'pod. And boy, let me tell you, they're very nice!! High build quality, sturdy locking features, a great Bluetooth remote... the units are so solid.

I'll be using it for interviews, so I don't need another cameraman, and other advantageous camera angles - not getting in everybody's way and must certainly not during panels but I will be representing a selfie stick during con regardless.
