Questo cane è un secchione! 😎🤩 È anche un adorabile egocentrico, così affettuoso da essere pure un po’ stalker, ma di base resta un secchione. Lo era quando andavamo alle puppy class, poi quando eravamo un binomio a scuola e lo è stato ovviamente ieri al test di Nosework. Tranquillo e concentrato, preciso e talmente chiaro nelle segnalazioni da non lasciarmi alcun dubbio o possibilità di errore. Dori has learned a new trick, working for her food. My brother in law showed me this idea with his dogs. I just took a tissue box and cut it to the size of a toilet paper roll. Then I also had a paper towel roll and that gave us some more rolls to fit in the box. An inexpensive-well free 🤣 training toy. I just put a few treats and some @stellaandchewys dog food in it. She loves finding the treats and food in it. So far she hasn’t destroyed the box or rolls. But we can always make more. I might also try and find a bigger box. Sveglia alle 5, doccia veloce, niente colazione, crocche al volo ai neri e a Fangio, poi io e il nanetto via di corsa per il nostro primo esame di Nosework. Bene la prima prova: solo 30” per individuare la scatola con l’essenza tra 12 identiche. Alla seconda, quattro test con 12 contenitori ciascuno, commetto un errore di segnalazione al primo test; alla fine io ho due punti di penalità, il #nanobotanico totalizza il punteggio massimo 😍 La terza prova, individuare l’essenza in quattro diversi ambienti chiusi, è un mezzo disastro: nel primo ambiente non riesco a leggerlo; nel secondo il pavimento è pieno di tracce molto più interessanti e finiamo fuori tempo massimo; a quel punto mi rilasso, tanto ormai è da ripetere, e superiamo gli ultimi due ambienti in un minuto. Il che dimostra che il nanetto è un Figo 😎 (e si sapeva), sull’umana e la sua ansia c’è ancora da lavorare 😜 Nonostante la levataccia, è stata un’esperienza divertente e molto interessante. Nilo è stato grandioso, sia durante i test (si è distratto su altri odori solo un paio di volte), sia mentre aspettavamo fuori, tra persone nuove e cani mai visti: mix, border, terrier e persino un whippet.
