Valentine's day?
“Oh! V-day is also known as lovers’ day?! I must have missed that. . .”
“. . .Does that make White day lovers’ day part 2?”
Kicks down door,
“Hey is anyone named Riptide? I would like to speak to him.” Oh she heard the name twister you sneaky lung.
@nosheath
Doctor’s stare on Ch’en’s tail was never wavering, watching every single move it was making as the other was in the room. Even if she tried to talk to her, Sokolova could’ve missed it. Despite her eyes following the tail, her mind was spiraling around the documents she read and the information provided. Oripathy. Arts. Medicine. Neurology. Brain. Mutation. Crystals. Everything that could give her any way to push everything forward. Even if she behaved like a fool on main, but her intellect was still as sharp, she could feel it. Only when the tail stopped moving did the woman finally got back to reality, shaking her head and looking at Ch’en.
Oof, this woman had a scary aura just like Kal’tsit. Somehow, it felt familiar yet not.
“Sorry, Ch’en, what were you saying? I’ve been thinking over the documents I received from Kal’tsit the other hour. And your tail is fantastic, I wish I could touch it!” Ending her sentences with a joke or some humor was the usual thing to conceal her serious thinking. For what reason? She didn’t know. It felt right.
" how about a midnight snack? " @ liskarm
the vouivre looked up at her. it’s a surprise. like herself, the lung was notorious for her stringent workaholic attitude - much like herself - to see her of all people, agreeing to take a break was a bit of a surprise to say the least.
then again, she could feel the aches and pains on her shoulders and her back from sitting here and leaning forward over her desk. ah, she really needed to remember and readjust her seat every now and then.
she nodded, “ that’d be nice. ”
hopefully, it wasn’t another one of those infamous snacks from lungmen, but she wasn’t too picky, not when it was a free present from someone she wasn’t aware she was close enough to for a snack in the first place.
❛ we are not born broken . ❜
@nosheath
What an obvious thing to tell, it's surprising that she's heard this from the Lungmen operator. Ch'en has never seemed one to be sentimental or philosophical; it might come across as rude, though, so Sokolova doesn't say it out loud. The tender light of the sun would shine upon them both as they would pass by the people who were once forced to hide and run away because of what they believed in. Terra was not a land of happiness nor was it a land of eternal peace, it was rough and it was ruthless. Somewhere deep inside, Zarina felt a nostalgic feeling over this sudden coldness brushing over her soul. Everything that she was now was just a shattered combination of pieces, she wasn't even sure that her past self would ever return in a way it was before - it would still have the same cracks and it would still be shattered, alas pieces of the puzzle would fit in, but they could be broken apart so easily.
With her hands in the pockets, Zarina gave Ch'en a sideglance. It's not one filled with any understanding or appreciation, but it's not one to deny the words spoken. People aren't born broken, it's true, the world breaks every single one of them. There are those who will continue to fight for what's best and there would be those who would accept it and turn into monsters far worse than ancients, than immortals, than seaborn. The true monster they see... The monster that resides within the one who is walking next to someone as noble and as strong-spirited as Ch'en herself. She's always been one to uphold her sense of code and rules, it was admirable and beautiful as much as it was something Dr. Sokolova couldn't fully accept even with her amnesiac state. It made her wonder why this light shining in those ruby eyes would only make her look away now, ever since she spoke to the mercenaries and made it known that she was no fool. It was easier to keep that foolish personality around others.
For now, Zarina would muse at Ch'en's words before she would smile and then look at her.
" Yeah. That's why we must continue working hard to make sure that the world will not be so dull and terrifying as to break young kids. So in the future, no one has to suffer as many do now, " golden eyes would look to the side, watching the kids with their families huddled together and giving grateful looks to her and Ch'en. A small and short wave, a friendly smile, and more steps forward. They have a lot of work to do, in all regions but will there truly be unity? It made Zarina doubt it somewhere deep inside, but stubbornness made her find salvation in Ch'en's strength, her unyielding gaze, and her bright flame of a spirit. " Say, Ch'en, let's go get a hot drink for now. I feel like you have a lot more to say. It's bad to keep it bottled inside. "
