Hello, and welcome to the beginning of the rest of my life!. Here is a new place that hope to turn into a "portfolio" to house my coding projects and what not.
It has come to my attention that I have about, at the time of writing this, 54 credits remaining on my B.S. of Computer Science degree with Security Studies minor left to at Angelo State University. This scares me because despite having been through this much of my life, I have no earthly idea what I am going to do afterwards.
These last few weeks I have doing some heavy thinking about what am I passionate at? And what do I want to do?. This is a hard question for anyone to answer and through this blog place I hope to narrow that down and/or use this place as a nice place to house my artifacts.
Hmm...let me continuing writing this later. Just wanted to put a post up here.
A 5X win is always nice and much appreciated in this game. :) Don't push it and don't get greedy and further more - DON'T BE PROUD. We all grinding and having fun. :)
Well this is a shock. Two trophies have been won today! First it was the Win 100k Satoshi in Bitsler and now this one:
Earn two trophies in one day
For those sticklers who think I am making this up, here is the proof.
The most important thing to remember in any sort of game that involves wagering is to not be greedy. Stop when you are ahead. :)
So I was going to stop for the day at a 2.0032043 (you are not privileged to see my wallet balance :P) But heard a cry from ole' Lady Luck telling me one more go and ended up with a 132,484 Satoshi profit (a 57.60% ROI for the day) instead of 73769 satoshi profit for the day! Wait...wahhhhhhhh? 50-something-% ROI in one day? Um...you can't even get that from a nice 401k. Then again 401k's usually have more money in them. So, whatever. Maybe I'll keep this up. Meh. Who knows, I can always just fall back on my cloud mining, speaking of which:
If you would like to get into mining and making your own sweet crypto but don't have the initial capital to buy equipment, you can always check into cloud mining and even a place that offers a nice 15 Gh/s for FREE. Now, you won't be able to quit your day job and you certainly won't be rich out of it but you can begin your journey to passive income and score some sweet trophies and achievements of your own. If you're interested, please check this place out here.
NOTE: The above image links to an affiliate link so that I may be able to some sort of finder's fee for recruiting you. Alright, that's all for monitization. And on that note, I'm done
Today I worked on getting the Twitch page all set up and cleaned up with the panels and what not. Built the commands page and cleaned up the overlay. Getting ready for this next week. Still need another HDMI.
Hello PLOLers and welcome to the new year of 2018! This year is, according to Chinese, the year of the dog (at least it will be come February 16th). What does this mean? Well without going into too much detail because that is not the purpose of this blog, it means (in my sense) the year of loyalty and of good attitudes, intentions, ideals and times.
This new year for me is a brand new start to something greater. It is a start to being better at life - helping others, humbling myself, and being something you would only dream to be.
What kind of new things am I starting?
Well, for starters, I have gone and acquired a Minecraft server located on shockbyte.com, which they are phenomenal at providing excellent support and great reliability. For only $22.50 a month, I too can have a nice Minecraft server running 9 GB of memory. Very affordable and highly convenient. The goal for this server is for it to be a place of magic, adventure, and greatness. Check out the blog associated with it here to follow the progress made on it.
The next bit that I am starting, or in this case continuing from December of 2017, is the growth and development of this community here at prescryptionlol.com. Since a week ago, I have moved over everything from the server hosted at digitalocean.com where I was paying about $40 something a month to upkeep it, to this wonderful blog that is free to use and great to build my empire off of. Don’t get me wrong, DigitalOcean was great and reliable, it’s just I can’t really see myself paying $$$ for something I am getting nothing in-return from. Along with the change over to Tumblr, I am interested in continuing my developing journey as a Twitch Affiliate over here. The goal for streaming is to
Be consistent with a set schedule and time per week
Be positive and don’t worry about metrics like number of viewers
And meet more streamers like me as well as support the plethora of already met streamers in 2017.
With these three goals, I am sure some value can be acquired. :)
The last bit, and not least, that I am working to develop into is my current academic experience. What I want here is to stay focused and do what I must do to succeed.
Hmm. Anything else for this bit? Not that I can think of. As always, please stay positive!
How to make Your Life Better - by using Your Fears!
Have you ever been afraid of something or someone? Do you want to learn how to make your life better? Well, let me tell you, from my own personal experiences, how you can combat any sort of depression in your life by using your fears.
My Biggest Fear
As a young kid, I had three major fears: mannequins, dinosaurs, and that I would be brutally murdered by my stuffed animals while I slept. Needless to say, I suffered from insomnia, and spent elementary school with bags under my eyes big enough to make a basset hound jealous. My fears only got worse as I thought about a teddy bear uprising happening and it only paralyzed me more. When I think of the fears I now have, these fears seems bizarre and utterly hilarious. Although that mannequin thing? That will never go away. Mannequins are terrifying.
The way I managed my mannequin fear was through the use of playing indie video games that were composed of doing actions with mannequins. Eventually by doing this, I learned to overcome this fear. Nowadays, my fear of mannequins is more of a comical thing; I use it to make people laugh. The fear of mannequins started when I was just out of elementary school; I remember it was because of a dream I had resulting in a puppet or something like a puppet chasing me. Although to my younger self this fear was more of ridiculous one
What kind of fears held power over you in the past?
Think about all the fearful things you experienced growing up or simply in your past. What made you fearful of them? Was it a stuffed animal that you couldn't bare to look at or was it something more in-tangible such as the thought of looking over a high edge and feeling the urge to jump off of it? What ever it was, just know that these are only fears and aren't real unless carried out or someone they become real. A big fear of many people is the fear of talking in front of an audience. This is okay to have and let me tell you this gets easier as you talk more and more in front of people. The best notion I can give you here is: (1) breath, (2) prepare your speech ahead of time, and (3) don't do the whole 'imagine folks in their underwear'. Trust me; this makes it worse.
Fears that hold powers over you can often lead to, or become a, root cause in depression. Fear sometimes will trigger symptoms that cause anxiety, depression, nausea, or increased heart-rate. These fears are merely false beliefs and often end up telling you that you are worthless; and if you believe it in a fear, you start believing it in the real world.
Use your fears to motivate you
If you are afraid of, oh say clowns or drowning in water, don't let that keep you from jumping in a pool or shaking the hand of a friendly clown (yes, they do exist). Interacting with the exact thing that you are afraid of leaves no room for the thing you are afraid of to strike fear in you. By interacting with your fears you weaken them and don't give them power over you which in term helps you have a better life and one without depression that may be caused by a fear.
Conclusion
We talked today about combating your fears by confronting them and interacting with them. This will lead you to a better life without depression.
This posts serves a purpose in my Daily Writing Exercise today and I would like to leave you with a question to ponder on: what is your fear and how do you use it to make your life better? If you don't, how could you?
