Request by Anon: This might be too specific, but do you think you could do something where Tom (or Peter) is dating a redhead? And maybe she’s insecure about it? Like people always make jokes about her being a ginger and like that she’s pale and bc of freckles, etc?
‘Tom Holland’s New Ginger Girlfriend’
You stared at the article title. The first picture in the article was a headshot of yours from a few years prior, before you figured out how to cover up your freckles with makeup. You thought you might be sick.
“Hey love, whatcha readin’?” Tom asked, plopping down on his trailer’s couch. It was lunch time and he was so glad you came to visit set to eat with him.
You hadn’t even heard him enter his trailer. You quickly locked your phone and smiled at him. “Nothing important,” You offered as an excuse as you went to kiss him.
He grabbed your cheek to stop you. “Then why do you look like you’re about to cry?”
He’d caught you and there would be no way out of it.
You sighed then unlocked your phone and handed it to him.
He glanced over the article, a small smile formed on his lips seeing the picture, but it disappeared as he looked back to you.
You were closing yourself off quickly, did he really think it was funny that instead of using your name they were just calling you a ginger? Was he going to laugh at that picture of you when you’d just started out.
“Oh, sweetheart,” Tom said, pulling you close. “You look beautiful in this picture. I love seeing your freckles.”
“That’s not just it, Tom,” You said, trying to pull out of his grasp. “I-I hate being called a ginger. I hate my hair and my freckles, and I just hate that that’s all people see. They could have chosen anything to title that article. Movie actress, my fucking name, hell I would have preferred them just saying Tom Holland’s new girl. Anything, but ginger is not a word I like to be known by. I hate everything about the way I look and that word just reminds me of all the people that used it against me my entire life. I’m just a pale freak with spots all over her and clown hair.”
“Baby,” Tom said gently. “I… I never knew you felt that way about yourself… I’m sorry. It might not make you feel better, but I think you’re God damn beautiful. I love your freckles and your hair is gorgeous, especially when you curl it. And God is your skin amazing. I can’t even begin to tell you how I wish my skin was as perfect as yours. It’s so soft and every time I kiss you I just want my lips all over your perfect skin. All I see when I look at you is the most breathtaking girl I have ever met. So, please don’t listen to articles like this. I know it doesn’t matter what I think, it matters what you think about yourself. But if I could even just begin to tell you how beautiful I think you are, maybe I can get you to see that too…?”
Tears trailed down your cheeks. No one has ever told you anything like that before. You hugged him and cried into his shoulder. “Th-Thank you, T-Tom.”
Tom stroked the back of your hair. “Whenever you need a reminder of how beautiful you are, just say something. I will gladly shower you with compliments and love, alright?”
You nodded against him. You weren’t sure how you’d gotten so lucky to be with someone so sweet, but you knew you were.
