Last year I did a comic for a story called the Roommate in which a mad scientist named Jenny who isolates herself from society buys a haunted car and unintentionally brings a perky if also lonely ghost named Penny into her home.

I’ve always planned for there to be a third character to join the cast someday when i can do more comics. Wendy is a cheerful vampire who comes from a long bloodline of rich vampires but much like Penny and Jenny is the blacksheep/oddball of her family. It’s that outsider quality is what ultimately leads to the three becoming friends (or in the case of Jenny very reluctantly).

Not!Inktober day 3: I’m a real lazy fuck

It’s the 7th of October and I haven’t really been able to come up with something really good for Not!inktober, hence why it’s taken so darn long for me to post something. Which is why I decided to do Jack Skellington, simple yet fun and totally fits with the spooky spirit!

I just love these two. Jenny (the mad scientist) and Penny (the ghost) bounce each other very well in stuff I’d like to write. I just like the thing where the living person is the sullen downer compared to the actual dead person who is more lively.

The big mock poster I did for Diego Diablito. A character initially concieved as Ash Williams mexican counterpart. But then grew into being a love letter to the by gone era of cheap mexican pulp, luchadore iconography, and the increasing amounts of scary mexican folklore i’ve been consuming/learning. While marrying it to Americana. Kinda fitting as i myself am the product of the two cultures.

Reuploading some previous artwork with a new addition.

I had the idea that Diego has this undead ghost girl who i just call Olive who has this massive crush on him only to later learn she’s the daughter of one of his enemies, his towns version of the bloody mary/la llorna. Leading him to be in an uneasy stalemate because neither she nor Diego can hurt each other lest they make Olive cry.

A Diego Diablito title card idea i sketched out. I do like the spooky antiquity of those old mexican churches like the ones from my dad’s hometown.

I just like ghost girls. They’re fun to draw. Anyhoo I had the idea that Olive might have additional forms she changes into, such as being able to look like the scary spirit form her mother usually uses, the usual one she’s seen throughout in order to not seem as scary, and this more unique on seen here. Time will tell if it gets used or is used as the spring board for another OC.

NOT!Inktober day 2: Candy Bat!

So I was doing some warm up sketches and came up with this design and thought it was super cute and decided to draw it for a full piece for day 2!
