SINCE WHEN DOES EDITH COME TO CAMP?!

Now... I know I haven’t played the game in a long while but... SINCE WHEN DOES EDITH COME TO CAMP?!

I had Arthur sleep and suddenly she’s at camp bringing Strauss the money they owed.... like... WTF?! Do I now not have to go to their house in chapter 3 to get the money??? Is that scene just not gonna happen???? WTF is going on?! Did I spend too long in chapter 2? I’m so confused.

I’ve never had this happen before.

Blog Progress Update

Drafts: 59 - Queue:  33

I have to replay the first chapter AGAIN because I deleted Eastward Bound and the following cutscene by mistake, but after I get that I’ll be able to post the remaining cutscene & transcript posts for chapter 1 and FINALLY be able to make and post the app nav for chapter 1.

I have no more location posts in the queue, I have photos I just need to make the posts so we’re down to 3 posts a day for a bit. A mission, a POI, and a newspaper.

Obviously I have no real deadlines for any of this, it’s all personally set goals of how much I want up a day and what. 

I almost have all the photos I need for all of Lemoyne (some are a little harder to figure out what I wanna do when they’re not buildings. Some I can make gifs for... others not so much).

I’m working on before and after photos for certain locations. There’s also at least two that change multiple times throughout the game (Timber Co. and the house being built by the father and his sons).

Once I get all the chapter 2 scenes recorded (cutscenes not camp scenes because... well they’re harder to get clearly) I’ll get back to focusing on locations and character posts.

So far I’ve only begun Abigail’s. I’m still trying to decide how much info and how to organize it for these posts. (Especially for the characters that are also in RDR1 because I feel I should have some things about the first game in there... but I also don’t HAVE the first game so it’ll only be written out things no photos.)

Tiny camp blogging

I’m gonna scream… EVERY TIME I try to get a recording of a camp scene… SOMEONE has to walk up to me and say SOMETHING which obvious ruins the thing I was TRYING TO RECORD SUSAN!

Walk into camp and greet Sadie,

Sadie: Didn’t you just leave?

Kieran: Hey you’re back! (He sounded so happy T_T)

Mary-Beth: That was quick. 

Okay so y’all notice when I leave camp for two minutes but not when I’m gone for weeks on end… >-< WTH?!

Small Notice

I’m taking the journal posts that I’ve already published and the page itself down because I need to rework them. (Blackwater and Colter will remain up as nothing changes with those)

I’m missing pages/alternate pages need to be added in including opposite choices and low VS high honor posts.

Just in case anyone was looking for those and couldn’t find them, that’s what happened. I’m going to do my best to get them fixed up in the next 4 hours or so (12:30 EDT time now so by around 4-5am [my sleep schedule is already messed up so it’s not like I’m making myself sleep deprived])

Blog Update (Nov. 2022)

So, I know disappeared without a word for several months (life just got in the way meanwhile my hyperfocus had switched from rdr and I just forgot all about completing this blog. It had gotten stressful which was entirely my own fault.) and I’m sorry about that. Last time I update/posted to this blog was in early June...

I still have a lot to finish on this blog and I’m gonna start working on it again. I have absolutely no idea when it’ll be finished because there’s still so much to post, but slowly but surely I’ll get there. I’m not giving myself deadlines or anything. I’m not gonna try and fill my queue. Thing’ll get posted when they get posted.

I have 59 drafts, most of which are newspaper posts, some locations/POIs, a couple videos. 

I know I need to finish the non-mission posts for Chapter 5 and Chapter 6 as well as those for both Epilogue parts. I have most of the photos needed for those I just need to assemble/order them for posting.

I have a couple finished videos that still need the transcripts typed out before they get posted for chapter 2 then I have to make the videos for the rest of the missions from chapter 2 and on. (out of 16 for Chap 2, I have 2 posted 2 almost done and at least 2 in progress.) The reason those take so long is because I try to get every possible variation you can get then edit it all together which requires playing the game more than once not just the mission because sometimes based on mission order things like dialogue are different (good example for this is in the hunting mission in chapter 2 that’s not posted yet) and because there will be different dialogue based on honor level.

I never finished (but still have most of) the audio links post. I’ll probably take a look at what’s been posted since I’ve been away from this blog and see if I can post what I can that can be a complete post.

Tiny Progress Update

5/30/22 - Drafts: 62 | Queue: 0

TL;DR / Short Version: I’ve been busy and the queue is empty which is why I haven’t posted anything in so long. I apologize for the sudden stop of work on all this.

I’m hoping I’ll be able to get back to working on this blog more consistantly some time in the near future.

Long version:

I’ve been busy with multiple things and haven’t had the time to work on posts or even play the game.

1) I’ve been trying to write for multiple fics I have (5 as of rn) which I’ve done to myself, I can never just work on one thing I always hop around.

2) I’ve been trying to platnum Harvest Moon: Light of Hope on ps4 for the past month because I need to return it via gamefly so I can cancel my subscription before I get charged for another month - I have until the 5th or 6th of June to return it. I’ve been playing it non-stop; the amount of grinding to plat this game is ridiculous. (I’ve put so many hours into the game it doesn’t even keep track anymore, my save has been at 99:59 hours for at least two weeks now.) 

3) My father is starting a new form of chemo and I have to be around in case he has any serious side effects which means I need to be downstairs and my ps4 is upstairs in my room. (The only way I’ve been able to play HM is because I have ps remote play on my phone and I don’t need to have perfect aim to plant cabbage. I’ve tried playing red dead on it and the best I can do is some photo stuff and maybe recording some cutscenes.) - Along with needing to keep an eye on him, I also just wanna spend time with him because to be completely honest he’s starting this new treament because what he had been getting for the past few months didn’t work, things got bigger... so.. yeah.

I am still able to work on the transcript side of the cutscene videos but I haven’t been able to record or edit any all month. I have 2 or 3 videos already up on youtube I just need to finish the text for so those will be in the queue at some point.

TBH the biggest obstical to me working on posts or anything related to this blog is the damn Harvest Moon game, I’m so close to plat-ing it that I don’t wanna just leave it unfinished cause I know I’m never gonna rent it again and can’t afford to get charged for another month of gamefly anymore.

Again, I aplogize for the lack of posts. I should have filled up the queue a lot more, sooner, so that it wouldn’t be so long without posts.

Tiny Blog Progress Update

Drafts: 58 Queue: 3

Okay so I haven’t touched this blog or RDR2 in about a week. The queue (as you can see by the numbers above) has slowly been uploading mission posts (it had been doing one mission one POI for a few days but I had run out of POI - there are still a handful of POI I need to make posts for - so it’s been doing two missions a day until today it posted the final mission post.)

We’re gonna switch to one queued post a day until I get the queue filled up again. Tomorrow the final story-journal pages post will be up. Noon EDT/EST will be the post time.

I have all chapter 2 cutscenes recorded and half of them edited/transcribed. Those will be added to the queue and be the next things posted. (These are also what’s causing other posts to take so long because most of my time was replaying the same mission to get all choices and options recorded.)

What’s stopping me from completing the newspapers is I need to know which ones are only there after certain stranger missions/only there in certain issues/I need the actual transcripts for those that I don’t have yet.

What’s stopping me from posting character posts is I need a lot more photos and details, I’m going to try and get Abigail’s up before the end of the month to show what the posts will be like. 

What’s stopping me from posting the remaining POI posts is just I need photos of the things themselves and I had been busy with other parts of the game. 

What’s stopping me from posting certain location posts is that some locations change between the main game and the epilogue and I only have half the photos I need (one year or the other).
