Dog by AlcoholicRattleSnake
‘He is a dog, just as he says. A half-wild, mean-tempered dog that bites any hand that tries to pet him, and yet will savage any man who tries to hurt his masters.’
‘When the appointed night arrived, another of the Kingsguard came for her, a man as different from Sandor Clegane as . . . well, as a flower from a dog. ‘
A flower is beautiful and nice smelling, but it won’t save you.
A dog might be smelly, it might snarl at you, pee on on on your leg or drool all over you, but in the end it will also save your life. It is not a coincidence that dogs are considered the most loyal animals. And behind each aggressive dog is a history of abuse and bad owners. In Sandor’s case the abusers were his father(he covered for Gregor), Gregor and the Lannisters.
‘The archer looked at him a long while before he said, "You're Joffrey's dog.""My own dog now. Do you want the water?" ‘
"Why?" Sandor said. "He don't care, and we've got no spade. Leave him for the wolves and wild dogs. Your brothers and mine."

I have one more exam left, so I procrastinated a bit. Tried to give him a gaunt face with a heavy brow. I might have failed at the last part hehehe. I know people will say he is too handsome or too young, but I don’t care because GRRM said he has an average face and he supposed to be in his late 20s. Google average male face and you will see that the results show men with the most common features in a certain region. Sandor’s features are not common in the Westernlands, but they are in the North. Gaunt face, sharp cheekbones, dark hair, grey eyes. Pretty close to Benjen’s description who also has sharp features, though he is very thin.
I tried to give him intense eyes and a slightly angered expression.

I’d like to thank you all for the support and nice things you’ve said. When I started this page it was to share my art in general, but it gradually turned into an ASOIAF/ Sansan page. I have no regrets and no guilt. I promise my art will get better. This would probably be the summer of SanSan for me, though it has been torturing my soul since I first read the books. My bf is aware of my Sandor crush and he secretly approves of it (he does have a scarred limb from when he was 5-6 years old and boiled water fell on him).
I was asked why I like this character so much and I’ve listed my 10 reasons:
2. He’s strong and can protect you.
3. He has a muscular body.
4. He understands how the world works.
5. He has some of the most poetic lines in the books. Yes, they are mixed with swearwords, but they are still poetic.
6. He takes care of two girls. He even shares his food with Arya and makes sure she is safe. As a matter of fact he saved both Stark girls on a number of occasions. He also doesn’t put Tommen down and actually appreciates the boy’s courage. He does come out as a father figure a few times. Sansa confuses his strong hands with those of her father. Arya is mistaken as his daughter. Cersei thinks Jeoffrey sees a fatherly figure in him, specially because Robert never paid attention to him.
7. He likes animals, specially Stranger and dogs.
8. He has scars. Chicks dig scars.
9. He is not as bad as he paints himself to be.
10. He likes songs. And not only that...he also knows about the theme of Florian and Jonquill and probably other songs as well. He is aware that real knights suck and are nothing like those from the songs. He constantly says he is not a knight and that’s because all the knights around him are bad people. Nonetheless, his behavior paints him closely to a knight. His armor might not be shiny, his face might not be the handsomest and his horse is not white, but he protects and saves the weak (Loras, Sansa, Arya) just like the knights from the songs.
